Now look at slide 118, a mixed gland from the dog. This particular specimen isalmost entirely serous, with only a few scattered mucous acini. Again, look for lobules,septa and ducts. Notice also the unusually well fixed blood vessels throughout the gland; they are packed with r.b.c.'s and show unusually clear neutrophils (with multilobed nuclei).
