VENULES:  Small diameter vessels that have a slightly larger luminal diameter than arteriole; yet a thinner media. 

Intima is intact with no basal lamina; yet thin, subendothelial connective tissue layer. 

Media is from 0-3 layers of smooth muscle

Adventitia is the thickest component and is composed of connective tissue rich in collagen fibers with some elastic fibers.
