Slide 135 - Colon - for an example of very cellular areolar connective tissue, mainly in between the tubular glands.  Look here for many wandering eosinophils; their granules are bright pink and quite refractile.  You will also see many plasma cells; they have a smooth basophilic cytoplasm, with a pale  negative Golgi area next to the eccentric nucleus.  The nucleus has dark clumps of heterochromatin, often arranged next to the nuclear envelope in a cartwheel pattern.
