Slide 148 - Gall Bladder.  The loose connective tissue underneath the epithelial lining shows that areolar c.t. looks like in an ordinary section of an organ.  Notice that the fibers are rather fine and loosely arranged.  Most of them are collagenous, but some are elastic and could be distinguished by using special stains.  Cells are scattered randomly among the fibers; the numerous elongate nuclei belong to fibroblasts.
